Journalism

I began my professional writing career in the late 1980s as a ‘zine producer.  Since then, I’ve written for newspapers, magazines and websites across the country.  A selected list of publications includes Wired, Fast Company, the Industry Standard, The New Mexican, New Mexico magazine, the Santa Fean, Trend, The Weekly Alibi, and many many others.  Though I cut my teeth writing about art & technology – subjects which continue to dominate my written work – I’ve also written a lot about business and other areas like food, movies, music, erotica and other cultural topics.

The dominant publication for me since 1991 has been The Santa Fe New Mexican, with whom I enjoyed a long and storied relationship, writing about both arts & technology.  I am the author of their “Technology Bytes” column, which I write as a freelance contributor.  My most recent regular position was as the Arts Editor of the Weekly Alibi, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
